TeSys F 4-pole contactor for resistive loads — LC1F1854G7
The Schneider Electric LC1F1854G7 is a 4-pole contactor from the TeSys F range, rated for 275 A in AC-1 duty at <= 440 V. That AC-1 utilisation category means it is specified for resistive loads — heaters, ovens, lighting banks — where the current waveform is nearly sinusoidal with no motor inrush or inductive kick. The coil is 120 V AC, 40-400 Hz, with a pickup range of 0.85 to 1.1 Uc and a dropout band of 0.2 to 0.55 Uc at 55 °C. Closing time is 35 ms; opening takes 130 ms at rated control voltage. The inrush power at 20 °C is 1070 VA, dropping to 9.9 VA hold-in — factor that into your control transformer sizing if the panel feeds multiple contactors.
This contactor mounts to a plate — not a DIN rail — so plan for a drilled backplate or a sub-panel with the 208.5 mm width and 174 mm height footprint. Depth is 181 mm, which includes the arc chutes and coil housing; leave clearance above for power cable bending radius. Power circuit connections accept bar (25 x 3 mm busbar), ring lugs up to 150 mm², or bolted connectors. Tightening torque on the power terminals is 18 N.m — substantial, so use a torque wrench. Control circuit wiring is screw-clamp, 1 to 4 mm² flexible or solid, torqued to 1.2 N.m. The IP2X front face with shrouds meets finger-probe protection per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106; the shrouds must be fitted for that rating.

Heat dissipation runs 8 to 9.8 W total, with per-pole dissipation of 12 W in AC-3 and 25 W in AC-1. The average impedance per pole is 0.33 mOhm at 275 A, 50 Hz. Operating altitude goes to 3000 m without derating.
