Motor power and duty-cycle coverage
The LC1F185P7 is a 3-pole TeSys F contactor rated for 275 A at ≤440 V in AC-3 duty, with motor power ratings spanning 90 kW at 400 V up to 110 kW at 690 V. For AC-4 reversing or inching service, the motor power drops to 33 kW at 400 V — the higher switching frequency and arcing in AC-4 reduce the permissible load. The rated breaking capacity is 1480 A per IEC 60947-4-1, and the associated fuse recommendation is 200 A aM or 315 A gG at ≤440 V — this guides the upstream short-circuit protection coordination.
Lifecycle status and sourcing posture
This contactor is flagged as end-of-life hot (EOL hot) — the manufacturer has issued discontinuation notice. Sourcing is through independent distribution channels; availability and current pricing are confirmed at RFQ against the BOM quantity.
Coil, control circuit, and mounting
The coil is 230 V AC at 40–400 Hz, with an inrush power of 1070 VA at 20 °C. Control voltage limits are 0.85–1.1 Uc for pick-up and 0.2–0.55 Uc for drop-out at 55 °C. Closing time is 35 ms; opening time is 130 ms. Mounting is plate-mount only — no DIN-rail adapter. The power circuit accepts bar connections (25 x 3 mm busbar), ring terminals, or bolted connection up to 150 mm². Tightening torque is 18 N·m on the power circuit and 1.2 N·m on the control circuit.
Standards compliance and environmental limits
Certified to IEC 60947-4-1, EN 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1 and 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. Overvoltage category III. The front face achieves IP2X with shrouds per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106. Operating altitude is 3000 m without derating. Protective treatment is TH (tropicalised). Mechanical durability is 10 million cycles. Maximum operating rate is 2400 cycles/hour at 55 °C. Heat dissipation is 8–9.8 W overall, with 12 W per pole in AC-3 and 25 W per pole in AC-1.
