TeSys F contactor — 185 A AC-3, end-of-life sourcing
The Schneider Electric LC1F185X6 is a 3-pole TeSys F contactor rated 185 A operational current in AC-3 duty at ≤440 V, switching motor loads up to 90 kW at 400 V AC 50/60 Hz. It carries a 275 A thermal current (Ith) at 50 Hz with an average impedance of 0.33 mOhm per pole, dissipating 12 W per pole in AC-3 and 25 W per pole in AC-1. The contactor is plate-mounted, IP2X on the front face with shrouds, and complies with IEC 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-1, EN 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1.
The 185 A AC-3 rating at ≤440 V governs motor switching — this contactor handles 90 kW at 400 V, 100 kW at 415 V, and 110 kW at 500 V. The AC-3 category means it is designed for starting and stopping squirrel-cage motors under load, not for jogging or plugging (that would be AC-4, where the rating drops to 33 kW at 400 V). The 275 A Ith (thermal current) covers resistive loads in AC-1 duty. The control coil is AC 60 Hz only, with a hold-in power of 66 VA at 60 Hz; the drop-out voltage range is 0.35...0.55 Uc, so verify your control supply stays within the operational limits of 0.85...1.1 Uc at 55 °C.
Plate-mounted — no DIN-rail clip. The power circuit uses bolted connections or ring terminals up to 150 mm²; torque to 159.3 lbf·in (18 N·m). Control circuit screw terminals accept 1...4 mm² flexible or solid wire, torque to 10.6 lbf·in (1.2 N·m). The contactor occupies a 168.5 mm width, 174 mm height, and 181 mm depth footprint on the plate.
