The 208 V AC control coil (40-400 Hz) pulls 2200 VA inrush and holds at 36 VA. Opening takes 100-170 ms; closing 40-75 ms. Mounts to a plate, not a DIN rail — this is a bolted-down power contactor, not a panel-snap device.
The headline number is 2100 A at ≤40 °C in AC-1 duty — that's the continuous resistive current the main poles carry. For fault handling: rated breaking capacity is 3150 A per IEC 60947-4-1, and short-time withstand (Icw) is 10 kA for 10 s, 7.5 kA for 30 s, stepping down to 3 kA for 10 min. Associated fuse rating is 2000 A gG at ≤440 V. Power dissipation per pole is 200 W in AC-1, total 36 W coil hold-in heat — factor that into enclosure ventilation if the panel is sealed. Control circuit voltage limits: pick-up at 0.85-1.1 Uc, drop-out at 0.3-0.5 Uc (55 °C).
Integration and connections
Plate-mount only — no DIN-rail adapter. Power circuit terminates via bolted bar connection, accepting up to 4 cables with a 100 x 5 mm busbar cross-section. Tightening torque: 58 N.m on the power side, 1.2 N.m on the control circuit screw clamps. Control wiring accepts 1-4 mm² flexible or solid (with or without ferrule). Dimensions: 438 mm wide, 332 mm high, 238.6 mm deep. Operating altitude 3000 m without derating; ambient temperature range -5 to 40 °C operating, -60 to 80 °C storage.
Certified to IEC 60947-1, IEC 60947-4-1, EN 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) 1000 V per IEC/UL, 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. Impulse withstand (Uimp) 8 kV, overvoltage category III. Protective treatment TH for tropical environments. Mechanical durability 0.5 Mcycles; maximum operating rate 600 cycles/hour at 55 °C.
