Heavy resistive-load switching, 2100 A AC-1
The AC-1 rating governs the continuous current the main poles can carry without derating; at 2100 A and 40 °C ambient, the conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) matches the operational current, so no headroom calculation is needed for purely resistive duty. The 440 V AC control coil draws 2200 VA inrush and 36 VA hold-in, with a dropout threshold of 0.3 to 0.5 Uc — useful to know when sizing the control transformer for a panel with multiple contactors. The contactor carries a rated breaking capacity of 3150 A per IEC 60947-4-1 and a short-time withstand current (Icw) of 10 kA for 10 seconds, 7.5 kA for 30 seconds, and 5.5 kA for 1 minute. These figures define the fault-ride-through capability in a coordinated panel: the contactor can hold in through a downstream fault long enough for an upstream fuse or breaker to clear, provided the associated fuse is rated at 2000 A gG at ≤440 V. The 8 kV impulse withstand voltage (Uimp) and 1000 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) confirm suitability for 400 V class systems with overvoltage category III.
Physical integration and mounting

Control wiring terminates on screw-clamp terminals accepting 1 to 4 mm² flexible or solid conductors. Tightening torque is 58 N·m on the power circuit and 1.2 N·m on the control circuit. The protective treatment (TH classification) indicates the contactor is treated for tropical environments — relevant for installations in high-humidity or corrosive atmospheres.
The LC1F2100R7 is certified to IEC 60947-4-1, EN 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. The rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC and UL, with a VDE 0110 group C rating of 1500 V. Heat dissipation is 36 W total, with 200 W per pole in AC-1 duty — this drives enclosure ventilation requirements in a dense panel.
