Product details

The Schneider Electric TeSys F LC1F2600FD is a 3-pole contactor rated 2600 A in AC-1 utilisation category — that's resistive load switching (heaters, lighting banks, large transformer primaries), not motor starting. The AC-1 rating is the headline number: at 2600 A and up to 1000 V AC 50/60 Hz, this contactor handles continuous resistive loads without derating up to 40 °C ambient. Control is 110 V DC, with a pickup range of 0.85 to 1.1 Uc and dropout at 0.2 to 0.35 Uc at 55 °C. Closing takes 60 to 70 ms; opening 40 to 50 ms. Plate-mount only — no DIN rail at this frame size.

Lifecycle reality — EOL phase, sourced to order

This part is in end-of-life (EOL) phase per the manufacturer.

The 2600 A AC-1 rating governs the continuous current through the power poles. Short-time withstand (Icw) is 12,000 A for 10 s, 9,000 A for 30 s — this tells you the contactor can ride through a fault long enough for an upstream fuse or breaker to clear, provided the associated fuse is rated 2500 A gG at ≤440 V. Breaking capacity is 3,900 A per IEC 60947-4-1. Heat dissipation is 40 W total (250 W per pole in AC-1 duty), so panel ventilation matters at this current level. Rated impulse withstand voltage is 8 kV, overvoltage category III — suitable for fixed-installation distribution boards.

Mounting and wiring — plate mount, bar terminals

Mounts on a plate (not DIN rail). Dimensions: 519 mm wide, 382 mm high, 251 mm deep. Power connections are via bar — three cables or busbar cross-section 100 x 10 mm, torqued to 58 N.m. Control circuit uses screw clamp terminals accepting 1 to 4 mm² flexible or solid, torqued to 1.2 N.m. IP20 front face with shrouds per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106. TH protective treatment for tropical environments. Operating altitude up to 3,000 m without derating.

Listed to EN 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-1, IEC 60947-4-1, JIS C8201-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1. Rated insulation voltage 1000 V per both IEC and UL. The standards package covers most global markets — Europe (EN/IEC), North America (UL/CSA), and Japan (JIS). No RoHS/REACH statement is in the evidence, but Schneider typically provides declarations on request.
