What the 2600 A AC-1 rating means for your load
For motor duty you'd need an AC-3 or AC-4 rated device; this one is spec'd for continuous resistive switching at up to 1000 V AC 50/60 Hz. The 440 V DC control coil pulls 18 W hold-in power at 20 °C, with an operating range of 0.85...1.1 Uc and drop-out between 0.2...0.35 Uc at 55 °C.
Integration — plate mount, bar terminals, thermal management
Mounting is plate-only — no DIN-rail option on this frame size. The power circuit uses bar terminals accepting up to three 100 x 10 mm busbars per pole; control circuit uses screw clamp terminals accepting 1...4 mm² flexible or solid. At 2600 A AC-1, heat dissipation runs 40 W total (250 W per pole), so panel ventilation or forced air is expected. The IP20 front face with shrouds meets IEC 60529 and VDE 0106 for finger-safe touch protection.
Breaking capacity and short-time withstand
Rated breaking capacity is 3900 A per IEC 60947-4-1. Short-time withstand (Icw) is 12 kA for 10 s, 9 kA for 30 s, 7 kA for 1 min, 6 kA for 3 min, and 4 kA for 10 min — all at 40 °C. Associated fuse rating is 2500 A gG at ≤ 440 V. These numbers define the upstream protection coordination: the contactor can ride through a fault for the listed durations without welding, but the fuse must clear before the Icw limit is exceeded.
Certified to EN 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-1, IEC 60947-4-1, JIS C8201-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 1000 V per IEC and UL. Impulse withstand (Uimp) is 8 kV, overvoltage category III. Protective treatment is TH (tropicalised).
