What the 2600 A AC-1 rating means for fit
The Schneider Electric LC1F2600W7 is a 3-pole contactor from the TeSys F range, rated 2600 A in AC-1 utilisation category — that is the resistive-load current it can make and break continuously at up to 60 °C ambient. AC-1 covers heaters, ovens, and non-inductive loads; for motor duty (AC-3) this contactor is not the right fit. The 277 V AC control coil operates across 40-400 Hz, with a hold-in draw of 45 VA and an inrush of 2500 VA. Plate-mounted, it occupies 519 mm width by 382 mm height by 251 mm depth — sized for a large panel or enclosure backplate.
Rated insulation voltage 1000 V, impulse withstand 8 kV, overvoltage category III. Complies with EN/IEC 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. The front face with shrouds achieves IP20 per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106. Protective treatment TH is applied for tropical environments.
Mounts on a plate (not DIN rail). Power circuit connections use bars accepting up to 3 cables with a busbar cross-section of 100 x 10 mm. Control circuit terminals are screw clamp, accepting 1 to 4 mm² flexible or solid wire. Tightening torque: 1.2 N·m for control, 58 N·m for power. The 251 mm depth must be accounted for in enclosure depth planning, especially with cable bending radius behind the contactor.

Associated fuse rating is 2500 A gG at ≤ 440 V. Rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is 12,000 A for 10 s, 9000 A for 30 s, 7000 A for 1 min, 6000 A for 3 min, and 4000 A for 10 min — all at 40 °C.
