Contactor ratings and duty
The LC1G3304EHEN is a 4-pole TeSys Giga contactor from Schneider Electric, rated for AC-3 motor switching with a conventional thermal current of 330 A. Its control circuit accepts 48–130 V AC or DC, a wide-span coil that simplifies stocking across mixed-voltage plants. Mechanical durability hits 8 million cycles, and the coil incorporates built-in bidirectional peak limiting, so it handles furnace damper cycling or conveyor indexing without external suppression. Operating time runs 40–70 ms closing, 15–50 ms opening – fast enough for sequence interlocks, with a maximum operating rate of 600 cycles per hour in AC-3 duty.
Mounting and power wiring
Mounts on a plate (not DIN rail), sized at 8.9 in depth, 7.3 in width, 8.9 in height. Connection pitch is 1.8 in on the power side, accepting bar or ring lugs up to 185 mm². Tightening torque for power terminals is 35 Nm. Control circuit uses push-in terminals for 0.2–2.5 mm² stranded or solid, keeping wiring quick on the panel line. Power dissipation per pole is 30 W in AC-1 (440 A Ith) and 16 W in AC-3 (330 A Ith).
Coil inrush and control limits
DC inrush power is 695 W. Dropout occurs between 0.1 Uc max and 0.45 Uc min. Auxiliary contacts are 1 NO + 1 NC, enough for a feedback loop to the PLC without an add-on block.
Production status and compliance
Standards compliance covers EN/IEC 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, JIS C8201-4-1, and UL 60335-1/2-40 for appliance applications. Overvoltage category III, pollution degree data not in this summary.
