It carries a 380...400 V AC coil and one normally open auxiliary contact. The three-pole design with NO main contacts handles resistive and inductive loads across the AC-3 and AC-4 utilisation categories. Motor power capability spans 1.5 kW at 220...230 V AC up to 3 kW at 440...690 V AC, making it suitable for small pumps, fans, and conveyors across common three-phase supply voltages.
The TeSys K series has been superseded by the TeSys Deca range. Verify cross-reference for coil voltage and auxiliary configuration.
The compact footprint — 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, 57 mm deep — fits standard DIN-rail enclosures and leaves room for adjacent devices in crowded panels. Heat dissipation is a modest 1.3 W, so no special ventilation is needed in normal industrial environments. Flame retardance meets UL 94 V1 and NF F 16-101/102 requirements, which is relevant for rail and transport applications where fire safety is specified.
The AC-4 category covers inching and plugging duty, where the contactor sees higher electrical stress. Short-time withstand current (Icw) is 90 A for 1 second on the power circuit, giving coordination headroom for upstream protective devices. The signalling circuit can handle 110 A for 100 ms.
