What this 4-pole contactor is wired to do
The LC1K09008N7 is a TeSys K contactor with a 400-415 VAC 50/60 Hz coil and a 4-pole contact configuration of 2 normally-open and 2 normally-closed.
Panel fit and wiring constraints
Screw clamp terminals accept 1.5-4 mm² solid or 0.75-4 mm² flexible wire (without ferrule); two wires can be clamped per terminal on the same cross-section range. Tightening torque is 0.8-1.3 N·m. IP2X finger protection per VDE 0106 means the contactor is safe for open-panel mounting where incidental contact is possible. Coil inrush is 30 VA at 20 °C, holding power 4.5 VA; the heat dissipation of 1.3 W is manageable in a standard enclosure without forced airflow.
Switching performance and duty cycle
The coil dropout time (NO opening) is 10-20 ms, coil pickup (NO closing) also 10-20 ms; NC transitions are slightly slower at 15-25 ms opening and 5-15 ms closing. Rated making capacity is 110 A AC for the power circuit per IEC 60947 and NF C 63-110. Associated fuse ratings for short-circuit protection are 25 A gG or 25 A aM in the power circuit.
Impulse withstand voltage is 8 kV, overvoltage category III. Flame retardance is V1 per UL 94, plus NF F 16-101 and NF F 16-102 Level 2 — relevant for rail-rolling-stock applications. Safety reliability data: B10d = 1,369,863 cycles under nominal load, 20,000,000 cycles under mechanical load per EN/ISO 13849-1.
