The Schneider Electric LC1K0910M7TQ is a TeSys K series 3-pole contactor rated for 9 A in AC-3 and AC-3e utilisation categories at 440 V, with a 220…230 V AC coil. The AC-3 rating of 9 A at 440 V means it can handle the inrush and running current of a standard three-phase induction motor up to that current — the category that governs most motor-switching applications. The AC-1 rating of 20 A covers resistive loads like heaters.
The contactor carries approvals to EN/IEC 60947-4-1, GB/T 14048.4, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. These cover the main global industrial control standards for contactors and motor-starters. Flame retardance is rated V1 per UL 94 and Class C2 per NF F 16-101/102, relevant for rail and transit applications.
Electrical and mechanical durability
Electrical durability is 1.3 million cycles at the AC-3/AC-3e 9 A rating, 160,000 cycles at AC-1 20 A, and 20,000 cycles at AC-4 54 A (≤440 V). For safety-related circuits, the B10d value is 1,369,863 cycles under nominal load and 20,000,000 cycles under mechanical load per EN/ISO 13849-1.
The coil draws 30 VA inrush and 4.5 VA hold-in power at 20 °C. Operating voltage range is 0.8…1.15 Uc at 50/60 Hz; dropout occurs at ≥0.20 Uc. No built-in suppressor module is fitted. Minimum switching current is 5 mA and minimum switching voltage is 17 V for the control circuit — relevant when driving the coil from a PLC output or low-power signal.
Mounts on rail or plate. Screw clamp terminals accept 1.5…4 mm² solid or 0.75…4 mm² flexible without ferrule, or 0.34…2.5 mm² flexible with ferrule. Dual-cable capability is supported for daisy-chaining.
Operating conditions
Storage temperature range is -50…80 °C. Operating altitude is 2000 m without derating. Operating times: NO contact closing 10…20 ms after coil energisation, NO opening 10…20 ms after de-energisation; NC opening 5…15 ms after energisation, NC closing 15…25 ms after de-energisation.
