The Schneider Electric LC1K12016K7 is a TeSys K three-pole contactor rated for 12 A in AC-3 duty at 440 V, with a 100 V AC coil and one normally-closed auxiliary contact. It also carries AC-1 (resistive) and AC-4 (plugging/inching) ratings, giving it flexibility for non-motor loads or high-stress reversing duty. The 1NC auxiliary is built in, no add-on block needed for basic interlock or status feedback.
The headline rating is 12 A in AC-3 at 440 V — this is the motor-switching current the contactor is designed to handle. Electrical durability at that rating is 1.3 million cycles, which is typical for a compact TeSys K frame. Mechanical durability is 10 million cycles, so the mechanism outlasts the electrical life under normal use. The coil draws 30 VA inrush and 4.5 VA hold-in at 20 °C; the 100 V AC coil must stay within 0.8 to 1.15 times nominal voltage to pull in reliably, and drops out at 20% of nominal.
The 3-pole power circuit uses ring-terminal lugs with a 7 mm outer diameter. The 1NC auxiliary contact is wired separately. Heat dissipation is 1.3 W, so no special ventilation is needed in a standard enclosure.
