The Schneider Electric LC1K12016SLS207 is a TeSys K contactor, a 3-pole device rated for AC-3 duty at 12 A up to 440 V, with a 72 V DC low-consumption coil that includes an integral suppression diode. The AC-3 rating means it is sized for starting and stopping squirrel-cage motors — the most common industrial motor load — where it makes the inrush and breaks the running current. The 1.8 W hold-in power at 20 °C keeps the panel cool and the power supply budget tight.
The IP20 finger-safe terminals (VDE 0106) are fine for a control cabinet but not for washdown zones. Power connections use ring terminals with a 7 mm outer diameter, torqued to 0.8...1.3 N·m — a standard screwdriver or Pozidriv No 2 handles the job.
