The Schneider Electric LC1K12017N7 is a TeSys K contactor with three poles, rated 12 A in AC-3 utilisation category at ≤440 V, and carries a 400-415 V AC coil. It switches motor loads up to 5.5 kW on 380-415 V supplies, or 4 kW on 480 V and 660-690 V lines. The 1 NC auxiliary contact is built in. This is a control-duty contactor for panel builders wiring motor starters or resistive loads.
The AC-3 rating of 12 A is the motor-switching current — it governs how large a three-phase induction motor this contactor can start and stop under load. At 480 V, that translates to 4 kW. The AC-1 rating (resistive load) is higher, but for motor duty, the AC-3 figure is the one that decides fit. The 400-415 V AC coil means it pulls in reliably on standard European 400 V three-phase control circuits. Heat dissipation is 1.3 W, negligible for panel thermal budgeting. Flame retardance meets UL 94 V1 and NF F 16-101/102, so it passes rail and industrial fire-safety requirements.
The contactor measures 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, and 57 mm deep.
