The Schneider Electric LC1K1210L72 is a TeSys K contactor, 3-pole, rated 12 A in AC-3 and AC-3e at 440 V, with a 200-208 V AC coil that includes an integral suppression device. It carries one normally open instantaneous auxiliary contact. The AC-3 and AC-3e ratings cover squirrel-cage motor starting and switching off under running conditions, while the AC-1 rating (20 A) handles resistive loads. The AC-4 rating (72 A) supports inching and plugging duty. Electrical durability is 1.3 million cycles at 12 A AC-3, and mechanical durability is 10 million cycles, giving a predictable service life for panel builders planning maintenance intervals.
The contactor is certified to EN/IEC 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, JIS C8201-4-1, and also meets IEC 60335-1 Clause 30.2 and IEC 60335-2-40 Annex JJ for appliance applications. The flame-retardant housing is rated V1 per UL 94 and meets NF F 16-101/102 Requirements 2. Safety reliability is documented with B10d values: 1,369,863 cycles at nominal load and 20,000,000 cycles at mechanical load, per EN/ISO 13849-1. This supports functional safety assessments for machine guarding circuits. The coil includes an integral suppression device, reducing EMI and meeting the requirements of TC protective treatment per IEC 60068 and DIN 50016.
Mounts on rail or plate. Screw-clamp terminals accept 1 or 2 conductors: solid 1.5-4 mm², flexible without ferrule 0.75-4 mm², or flexible with ferrule 0.34-2.5 mm². Tightening torque is 0.8-1.3 N·m, compatible with a #2 Phillips or pozidriv, or a 6 mm flat blade. IP2X finger protection per VDE 0106.
