The Schneider Electric LC1K16015C72 is a TeSys K contactor, 3-pole, rated 16 A in AC-3 utilisation category at ≤440 V, with a 36 V AC coil. The built-in bidirectional peak limiting diode suppressor handles coil suppression internally, so you don't need an external snubber across the coil terminals. Motor power capability spans 4 kW at 480 V AC up to 7.5 kW at 380–415 V AC, 50/60 Hz. That covers common European and North American line voltages in a single part.
The 16 A AC-3 rating is the motor-switching current at ≤440 V — that's the number that governs real motor loads, not the higher AC-1 resistive rating. Heat dissipation is 1.3 W per pole, so total 3.9 W through the enclosure. That's low enough for a sealed panel without forced ventilation, but check the thermal curve if you're grouping multiple contactors in a small enclosure. Flame retardance V1 per UL 94 means the housing self-extinguishes within 30 seconds of a flame source removal — standard for panel-mounted control gear.
The 1 NC auxiliary contact is built in, so you get a feedback signal for the PLC or a seal-in circuit without adding a separate block. Terminal numbering follows the standard IEC 60947-4-1 scheme.
