The Schneider Electric LC1K16106R7 is a TeSys K three-pole contactor rated for 16 A in AC-3 duty at up to 440 V, with a 440 V AC coil and one normally open auxiliary contact. It's sized for motor loads up to 7.5 kW at 380–415 V AC or 4 kW at 480 V, and also carries an AC-1 utilisation category for resistive loads.
The 16 A AC-3 rating governs motor switching — it's the current the contactor can make and break under full-load starting conditions. The AC-1 rating covers resistive loads at a higher current, but for motor control, the AC-3 figure is the one that decides whether the contactor handles your pump, fan, or conveyor. The 440 V AC coil means it pulls in directly from a 440 V control transformer without a dropping resistor. Motor power ratings span from 4 kW at 220–230 V up to 7.5 kW at 380–415 V, so it fits a range of standard three-phase induction motors in European and North American voltage systems. The 1.3 W heat dissipation is modest — no special ventilation needed in a standard enclosure.
Construction and approvals
The housing carries a V1 flame retardance rating per UL 94, which is standard for panel-mounted control gear.
