Function & operation
As a star-delta starter, the LC3D09AP7 integrates three contactors in a pre-wired assembly that reduces inrush current during motor start by first connecting the motor windings in star configuration, then transitioning to delta for full-voltage run. The 9 A AC-3 rating defines the maximum switched current for starting squirrel-cage motors — AC-3 covers starting and plugging, not continuous resistive load.
