The Schneider TeSys Deca LC3D180AQ7 is a pre-wired star delta starter built for motor control in AC-3 duty, rated at 18 A on the power circuit with a 380 VAC 50/60 Hz coil. It carries three normally-open power poles per phase (3 x 3P), so it handles the transition from star to delta without an external interposing contactor for the common leg. The AC-3 rating means it's intended for starting squirrel-cage motors and switching them off only after they're up to speed — not for jogging or plugging duty.
The housing meets IEC 60695-2-1 fire resistance at 850 °C and carries a UL 94 V1 flame retardance rating. Climatic withstand conforms to IACS and IEC 60947-1 Annex Q category D, with protective treatment per IEC 60068-2-30 (TH classification). Operating altitude goes to 3000 m without derating, and the ambient temperature range spans -40 to 70 °C at coil-rated voltage. Storage range is -60 to 80 °C.
Mechanical and integration
IP20 front face protection — suitable for installation inside a closed panel where the front of the device is accessible but the live terminals are behind a door or cover. The part is pre-wired, which saves panel-build time on the star-delta interconnections. Vibration resistance is 2 Gn (contactor open) and 4 Gn (closed) over 5–300 Hz; shock resistance is 10 Gn for 11 ms (open) and 15 Gn for 11 ms (closed).
