The LC3D80E7 is a pre-wired star delta starter from the TeSys D range, designed for motor control applications. It carries a 3 x 3P (3 NO) contact configuration and is rated for AC-3 utilisation category, meaning it is built to switch three-phase induction motors under starting and running conditions. The 80 A rating is the AC-3 motor current, not a resistive load figure — that is the number to match against your motor's full-load amps.
Environmental and mechanical ratings
The front face carries IP20 protection per IEC 60529, suitable for enclosed panel mounting where no water ingress is expected. Operating temperature range is -40 to 140 °F (-40 to 60 °C), with derating above 140 °F up to 158 °F (70 °C). Storage range is -76 to 176 °F (-60 to 80 °C). The unit is treated for tropical environments (TH per IEC 60068-2-30) and rated for operation up to 3000 m altitude. Flame retardance is V1 conforming to UL 94, with fire resistance at 1562 °F (850 °C) per IEC 60695-2-1.
