That's a serious motor starter for a 250 kW pump or compressor on a 440 V line. The control circuit runs on 400 V AC 50/60 Hz, with a pickup range of 0.85 to 1.1 Uc and dropout between 0.35 and 0.55 Uc. Inrush power is 650 VA at 40–400 Hz, cos φ 0.9 at 20 °C. That 400 V coil voltage is common in European industrial panels — it saves a control transformer if your panel already runs 400 V line-to-line.
AC-3 means making and breaking a motor at full load, which is harder on contacts than resistive switching. The associated fuse recommendation is 400 A gG or 315 A aM at ≤440 V, so plan your upstream protection accordingly. Rated breaking capacity is 2120 A and making capacity is 2650 A, both per IEC 60947-4-1 — that's the fault-clearing ability if a motor stalls or shorts. The auxiliary contact complement is already built in: 1 NC + 1 NO on the KM1 star contactor, 2 NC + 1 NO on the KM2 line contactor, and 1 NC + 2 NO on the KM3 delta contactor. That covers the standard star-delta interlocking and status feedback without adding auxiliary blocks. Mechanical interlocking between contactors is included — no external linkage needed.
This is a plate-mount unit — not DIN-rail. Dimensions are 625 mm wide × 110 mm high × 266 mm deep, so it needs a backplate or sub-panel, not a 35 mm rail. Power connections are bolted, with bar cross-section 32 × 4 mm or ring terminals up to 240 mm². Control wiring uses screw clamp terminals accepting 1 to 4 mm² flexible or solid. Tightening torque is 35 N·m on the power circuit and 1.2 N·m on control — a torque wrench is expected on the power lugs. IP20 front face with shrouds per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106 — that's touch-safe from the front but not sealed against dust ingress. Not for washdown environments.
