The Schneider Electric TeSys F LC3F330FE7A64 is a pre-wired star delta starter for motor control, built around three contactors with mechanical interlocking. It is rated for 330 A operational current in AC-3 duty (up to 440 V), which means it handles the high inrush during star-delta transition on motors up to 315 kW at 440 V AC. The 115 V AC 50/60 Hz control coil draws 650 VA inrush at 20 °C; hold-in is 8 W dissipation.
The 330 A AC-3 rating governs motor switching — it is the current the main poles can make and break under motor load (inductive, not resistive). The associated fuse recommendation is 500 A gG or 400 A aM at ≤ 440 V, so the upstream protection must match that curve. Breaking capacity is 2640 A and making capacity 3300 A per IEC 60947-4-1, which covers most industrial distribution faults. Auxiliary contacts are built in: 1 NO + 1 NC on the star contactor (KM1), 1 NO + 2 NC on the line contactor (KM2), and 2 NO + 1 NC on the delta contactor (KM3). That covers the interlocking and status feedback without adding a separate aux block. Mechanical durability is 10 million cycles; maximum operating rate is 2400 cycles/hour at 55 °C.
Plate-mounted — not DIN-rail snap-on. The footprint is 725 mm wide × 110 mm high × 276 mm deep, sized for a backplate or enclosure floor. Power connections use bolted bars or ring terminals up to 240 mm²; control wiring is screw-clamp terminals accepting 1 to 4 mm² flexible or solid. Tightening torque is 35 N·m on the power circuit, 1.2 N·m on control.
