What this contactor set is
The Schneider Electric TeSys K LP1K09015BDTQ is a set of 10 contactors — 3-pole, normally open, DC coil — rated 9 A in AC-3 duty at 690 V. That AC-3 rating covers motor switching: starting, stopping, and jogging squirrel-cage induction motors up to that current. The AC-1 rating handles resistive loads at the same 9 A level. Coil is 24 V DC, standard pull-in for a 24 VDC control bus. Each contactor in the set carries three NO power poles. All ten units ship as one order code — one BOM line covers a multi-zone panel or a spare-kit build-out. The contactors are individually packaged within the set.
TeSys K is the compact IEC footprint for panel builders. The 57 mm depth (2.2 in.) leaves clearance for wiring ducts and auxiliary contact blocks. Height is 58 mm (2.3 in.). Panel layout with a 50 mm pitch per contactor is standard. IP2X finger protection (VDE 0106) on the front face means the busbar and terminal areas are touch-safe during commissioning — no live parts exposed above the base. The contactor itself is not sealed against washdown; keep it inside the enclosure.
The contactor also carries an AC-1 (resistive) rating at the same 9 A, so it can switch heater banks or lighting loads without derating. AC-3e is the enhanced electrical endurance category for frequent switching. Heat dissipation from the DC coil is 3 W. That is low enough that ten units in a row do not need forced ventilation in a standard IP2X enclosure, but you should still check the total thermal budget for the panel ambient at 50 °C max operating temperature. Altitude rating of 2000 m without derating covers most plant sites. Above that, the dielectric and thermal margins start to narrow — consult the thermal derating curve in the full datasheet for installations above 2000 m.
