What this control unit does for a motor line
The Schneider Electric TeSys Ultra LUCB05BL advanced control unit handles motor protection and control for 3-phase self-cooled motors up to 3 kW at 690 V, with manual reset and plug-in mounting. Rated for AC-44 (motor starting), AC-41 (resistive), and AC-43 (frequent start/stop) utilisation categories, it fits typical motor-driven loads in crushers, conveyors, and pumps.
Thermal overload class is Class 10, so it clears a stalled rotor fast enough to protect winding insulation without tripping on normal acceleration. Short-circuit trip threshold sits at 14.2 x Ir ±20% — high enough to ride through motor inrush, low enough to limit let-through energy on a bolted fault. Shock resistance: 10 gn with power poles open, 15 gn closed. Vibration resistance: 2 gn (poles open) and 4 gn (poles closed) over 5–300 Hz. This part shrugs off the vibration from crusher and mill duty without false trips. Control circuit is 24 V DC, typical sealed consumption 60 mA (80 mA with larger control units) — compatible with standard PLC outputs and small UPS-backed supplies.
Available through the standard TeSys Ultra distribution channel. Quote to order against your RFQ; lead times are typical for this product family.
IP20 on the front panel and wired terminals; IP40 on the front panel outside the connection zone. That keeps abrasive dust out of the electronics in a mining cabinet, but the enclosure still needs a proper seal for wet washdown. Fire resistance tested at 1760 °F (960 °C) on parts supporting live components — compliant with IEC 60695-2-12 for panel safety.
