The Schneider LUCB12FU is the advanced control unit for the TeSys Ultra range, handling protection and control for three-phase motors. It integrates overload, short-circuit, earth fault, and phase failure/imbalance protection with manual reset—essentially the brains of the motor starter assembly. Rated for utilisation categories AC-41, AC-43, and AC-44, it covers both resistive and motor switching duty at up to 9 kW on 690 V AC.
Plug-in mounting via the front face mates directly with the TeSys Ultra power base. Control circuit voltage spans 110…240 V AC and 110…220 V DC, with sealed consumption of 25–35 mA depending on the LUB control circuit used. Closing inrush peaks at 280 mA. The IP20 front panel and wired terminals hold up in typical panel environments; IP40 over the front face outside the connection zone.
Thermal overload Class 10 protection, immunity to microbreaks of 3 ms, and voltage dip ride-through at 70% for 500 ms keep the drive running through line disturbances. Vibration resistance: 2 gn open poles, 4 gn closed, across 5–300 Hz. Shock resistance: 10 gn open, 15 gn closed.
Standards compliance includes EN/IEC 60947-6-2 and UL 60947-4-1 (with phase barrier) and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1 (with phase barrier). Fire resistance at 960 °C for live-supporting parts per IEC 60695-2-12. Safe separation of circuits at 400 V SELV between control and main circuits.
