The SH31401P02A1100: This motor delivers 2.9 kW continuous power at 400 V three-phase, with a nominal speed of 3000 rpm and a maximum mechanical speed of 4000 rpm.
Encoder feedback and mechanical integration
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder gives position feedback at power-up without a homing sequence — the drive knows the shaft angle and the number of revolutions from the moment the bus powers up. This is a time-saver on multi-axis machines where homing would otherwise eat into the cycle budget. The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 140 mm flange size, a 130 mm centring collar diameter, and 11 mm mounting holes. The shaft is 24 mm diameter with a 50 mm smooth end — no keyway, so the coupling or pulley must be clamped. IP65 protection on both the motor body and the shaft bushing means it handles washdown environments without a secondary cover. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air required. The thermal limit is set by the copper winding temperature at 130 °C, with a torque constant of 1.43 N·m/A at that hot condition. The stator resistance is 1.41 Ω and inductance is 23.72 mH, which the drive's current loop must be tuned to match.
Electrical connection and load ratings
The electrical connection is a straight connector — no right-angle adapter needed for tight cable egress. The motor is three-phase, with a continuous stall current of 7.8 A and a maximum RMS current of 20.8 A. The back EMF constant is 100 V/krpm at 20 °C, so at 3000 rpm the generated voltage is 300 V line-to-line — the drive's DC bus must be high enough to overcome this during regeneration. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 1930 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1340 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 300 N. These limit the overhung load from a belt drive or direct coupling — exceeding them shortens bearing life.
