Speed-torque envelope across supply voltages
The SH31403P01A1000 delivers 24.7 Nm nominal torque at 750 rpm on 115 V single-phase, and 12.9 Nm at 3000 rpm on 400 V three-phase — the torque curve shifts with the available supply. Continuous power reaches 4050 W at 400 V three-phase, dropping to 1940 W on 115 V single-phase. This is not a fixed-speed motor; the drive must be programmed for the actual line voltage to avoid overfluxing or under-torque.
Encoder and feedback — absolute single-turn Hiperface
Fitted with an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — no homing sequence needed on power-up for single-turn applications. The SinCos analog tracks give the drive fine position interpolation; the Hiperface protocol carries the absolute position over a serial link. Confirm the drive model supports Hiperface before wiring.
Mounting dimensions and flange fit
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 140 mm square pilot, 130 mm centring collar diameter, and 3.5 mm collar depth. Four M11 through-holes on a bolt circle matching the flange pattern — the 11 mm hole diameter accepts M10 bolts. Overall length is 327.5 mm with a 50 mm smooth shaft, 24 mm diameter. No keyway — the smooth shaft requires a clamping-type coupling or a keyless locking assembly.
Environmental sealing and shaft loading
IP54 as standard with the shaft bushing without seal ring; IP65 with the shaft seal ring fitted — both conforming to IEC 60034-5. The IP65 variant is washdown-capable but the smooth shaft seal is a wear item; budget periodic replacement in high-cycle applications. Maximum radial force is 2420 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1670 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 300 N — overhung loads from belt drives must be checked against these limits.
Electrical constants for drive tuning
Torque constant Kt is 1.58 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature; back-EMF constant Ke is 105 V/krpm at 20 °C. Stator inductance is 7.72 mH, stator resistance 0.4 Ω — these set the electrical time constant and influence the current-loop tuning gains in the servo drive. The motor has 5 poles (10-pole equivalent in some naming conventions), so the electrical frequency at 3000 rpm is 250 Hz.
