Motor ratings and supply-voltage dependency
The SH31403P01F2200: This is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 series, delivering 4.1 kW continuous power. Its speed and torque vary significantly with the supply voltage: at 400 V three-phase it produces 12.9 N.m nominal torque at 3000 rpm, while at 480 V three-phase it delivers 9.1 N.m at 3600 rpm. The peak stall torque reaches 90.2 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range. The motor includes a holding brake rated at 36 N.m — sufficient to hold a vertical-axis load without power. The brake engages when the drive is de-energised, so it is a safety element for Z-axis applications on gantries or elevators.
Encoder and feedback — absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback without requiring a homing cycle after power-up. This saves commissioning time on multi-axis systems and eliminates the need for a backup battery on single-turn applications. The encoder resolution is manufacturer-defined for the Hiperface protocol and is compatible with Schneider drives that support this interface.
Environmental sealing and mounting
Rated IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, and IP67 on the housing per IEC 60034-5 — this means the motor withstands hose-down cleaning and dust ingress. The rotatable right-angled connector allows the cable exit to be oriented in four directions, simplifying routing in tight cabinets. Mounting uses an international standard flange with a 140 mm flange size and a 130 mm centring collar.
