Motor performance across supply voltages
The SH31404P01A1200: This SH3 frame servo motor delivers a nominal torque of 114.2 lbf·in (12.9 N·m) at 400 V three-phase input, spinning at 3000 rpm. On 480 V three-phase, torque drops slightly to 98.2 lbf·in (11.1 N·m) while speed reaches 3600 rpm. The continuous power output at 400 V is 4040 W. Peak stall torque is 1167.4 lbf·in (131.9 N·m) across the 115–480 V three-phase range, giving a substantial overload margin for acceleration and short-duration high-torque events. Continuous stall torque is 295.6 lbf·in (33.4 N·m). The motor is rated for a maximum mechanical speed of 4000 rpm, so the 3600 rpm at 480 V stays within the safe operating envelope.
Encoder and feedback integration
An absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback. This is a standard industrial interface compatible with many Schneider drives and third-party servo controllers that support the Hiperface protocol. Single-turn means absolute position within one revolution; multi-turn applications require a different encoder option. The electrical connection uses a straight connector, simplifying cable routing in tight cabinets.
Environmental and mechanical fit
Rated IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing per IEC 60034-5. This makes it suitable for washdown environments and dusty industrial floors without an additional enclosure. The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 5.5 in (140 mm) flange size and a 5.1 in (130 mm) centring collar. Four mounting holes on a 0.4 in (11 mm) diameter pattern secure it. Overall length is 15.06 in (382.5 mm). Shaft is smooth, 0.9 in (24 mm) diameter, 2.0 in (50 mm) long. No holding brake is fitted, so the application must provide external braking or rely on the drive's holding torque at standstill.
