Torque and speed across supply voltages
The SH31404P01A2100: This SH3 frame servo delivers 30.2 Nm nominal torque at 400 V three-phase, derating to 12.9 Nm on the same winding when fed 400 V three-phase — the torque constant is 1.57 Nm/A at 120 °C copper hot, so the available torque tracks the current the drive can push into the stator resistance of 0.28 Ω and inductance of 5.945 mH. Nominal speed jumps with line voltage: 750 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 1500 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 3000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 3600 rpm on 480 V three-phase — the back EMF constant of 104 V/krpm at 20 °C sets the velocity ceiling for a given DC bus. Peak stall torque hits 131.9 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, with a 3-second peak current limit of 95.6 A — this is the number for sizing the acceleration phase on a pick-and-place gantry or rotary indexer.
Feedback and environmental sealing
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder reports position at power-on without a homing cycle — the single-turn resolution is enough for applications that never exceed one mechanical revolution between power cycles, but multi-turn applications will need a different encoder variant or a battery-backed multi-turn option. IP65 per IEC 60034-5 on both the motor body and the shaft bushing means the motor withstands hose-down cleaning in food or washdown environments — the rotatable right-angled connector lets the cable exit point be oriented to shed water away from the seal. Natural convection cooling (no external fan) keeps the envelope clean but limits duty — the 4040 W continuous power at 400 V three-phase assumes free air around the 140 mm flange; cramming this into a tight cabinet with other heat sources will pull the winding temperature above the 130 °C copper hot limit.
Inertia matching and mechanical interface
The smooth shaft (no keyway) is 24 mm diameter × 50 mm length — the maximum radial force at the shaft nose is 2660 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 1840 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 300 N. The international standard flange (140 mm centering collar, 130 mm pilot diameter) bolts to standard NEMA or IEC mountings.
