The Schneider TM172DGRP is a panel-mount display module from the Modicon M171/M172 range. It runs on 24 V AC/DC and draws 2 W, making it a low-power HMI for small machines or remote I/O panels that need local operator feedback and time-stamped events. The backlit monochrome LCD offers 128 x 64 pixel resolution. Five membrane keys provide menu navigation, and the integrated real-time clock supports alarm logging and data timestamping without an external RTC module. Three green LEDs on the front cover give local signalling for run/stop/error status common in Modicon M172 system. The display is held in a gray housing (UL 94-rated) with dimensions 3.5 in wide, 6.3 in tall, and 1.06 in deep behind the panel.
Panel Fit & Integration
The module mounts into the Modicon M172 backplane; no separate power adapter needed – it draws its 24 V AC/DC from the system supply. The RTC is battery-backed inside the unit; verify the battery is installed (and not shipped in a separate bag) before commissioning. Display resolution 128x64 is sufficient for icon-based menus and numeric readouts. For graphic-rich screens or multiple languages, consider the larger colour touchscreen in the same family. Five keys cover basic scroll/enter/escape; extra soft keys are not provided.
