The TM200C16T is a current-production 16-point logic controller in the Modicon M200 family, sized for small standalone machines or remote I/O nodes. Its 16 discrete I/O includes eight inputs (four high-speed at 100 kHz, four fast at 35 µs) and eight sourcing transistor outputs (two capable of PWM/PLS at 100 kHz).

PID and positioning

Built-in adjustable PID regulator handles up to 14 simultaneous loops, enough for temperature, pressure or flow trim on a small production cell. Two outputs support PWM or pulse-train positioning at 100 kHz, matched to the high-speed counter inputs for quadrature or pulse/direction encoder feedback.

Clock and program retention

The real-time clock drift stays under 90 s/month at 25 °C. A BR2032 lithium battery maintains the clock and program backup for up to three years without external power—useful for batch-dependent time stamps or scheduled start/stop cycles.
