I/O and high-speed functions

The TM200C24R: Inputs are split into three speed tiers: four high-speed terminals (I0, I1, I6, I7) handle 5 µs response and 100 kHz HSC modes — quadrature, pulse/direction, single-phase, or CW/CCW. Four fast inputs (I2–I5) at 35 µs turn-on, and six regular inputs at 100 µs. The HSC counters are 32-bit, useful for encoder-based positioning or flow meters. Input impedance is 3.3 kΩ, and the type 1 characteristic allows both sink and source wiring — no polarity matching trouble. For process control, the controller can run up to 14 independent PID loops — adjustable, so small temperature or pressure profiles don't require a dedicated loop controller. Real-time clock drifts ≤90 s/month at 25 °C, backed by a BR2032 lithium battery rated for 5 years; program and clock retention lasts 3 years from last power-up without external power.

Communications and programming

Three ports onboard: RS232, RS485, and USB Mini-B. The serial links run at 1.2–115.2 kbps (115.2 default); RS485 bus length is 15 m, RS232 is 3 m. USB runs at 12 Mbps for fast programming download. The programming terminal connects via USB 2.0 — no special adapter needed. Removable screw terminal blocks for I/O and serial connections make wiring easy, and status LEDs cover power, run, error, SD card access, battery, and I/O state, plus one for SL1. Memory consists of 512 bytes internal flash for program backup — efficient for the typical ladder/ST application size. Firmware updates and recipes can be stored on a standard SD card.
