The TM200HSC206DT is a counter module for the Modicon M238 logic controller rack. It adds six high-speed counting channels, each configurable among eight modes—upcounting, downcounting, frequency meter, axis following, frequency generator, period measurement, and more—all with a 31‑bit plus sign resolution. Counting frequency is 60 kHz, so it handles incremental encoders and pulse trains up to that rate. Output side: four discrete sourcing outputs (positive logic, 24 VDC) rated 0.5 A each, with overload protection tripping between 0.5 and 1.5 A and auto‑reset after the fault clears. Short‑circuit protection is built in and resets automatically. Load capacitance on the outputs tops out at 50 µF; inductive loads must be rated per L = 0.5 / I²F. The twelve discrete inputs (24 VDC, Type 1 per IEC 61131‑2) pull 2 mA at 11 V, with guaranteed On‑state voltage from 15 to 30 V and Off‑state <5 V. Fallback behavior on each channel can hold last value or go to a predefined 0 or 1; a faulty channel defaults to 0.
Up to three counter modules per M238 base; shielded cable required for encoder inputs. Input compatibility: incremental signal encoders with 15…30 V source outputs, plus 2‑ and 3‑wire 24 V sensors. Inputs are sink (positive logic), outputs are source. The auxiliary inputs (IN_CAP, IN_EN, IN_REF) and high‑speed inputs (IN_A, IN_B, IN_SYNC) are separate dedicated pins, so wire carefully to match the counting mode.
