24-I/O controller with mixed-speed inputs and motion outputs
The TM200C24U is a 24-discrete-I/O logic controller in the Easy Modicon M200 family, built for standalone control of small machines or subsystems. It delivers 14 transistor sink outputs, with two channels capable of 100 kHz PWM/PLS for direct stepper or simple servo control. Four high-speed inputs respond in 5 µs, four fast inputs in 35 µs, and six regular inputs in 100 µs — enough headroom to handle quadrature encoders, edge sensors, and standard pushbuttons in one unit. The controller runs on 20.4 to 28.8 V DC and includes an adjustable PID regulator supporting up to 14 simultaneous loops, covering multi-zone temperature or pressure control without an external module. A BR2032 lithium battery backs the real-time clock and program memory for up to three years at 25 °C, with a typical battery life of five years. Clock drift stays within 90 seconds per month.
Panel integration and environmental limits
The 130 mm wide by 90 mm tall by 70 mm deep enclosure clips directly onto standard TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 DIN rails. Vibration resistance is 3.5 mm displacement at 5-8.4 Hz on the rail, 1 gn from 8.4-150 Hz; on a panel mount those limits rise to 2 gn. Shock survival is 15 gn for 11 ms or 30 gn for 6 ms. Rated for pollution degree 2, operating at 0-2000 m altitude, and handling 10-95% non-condensing humidity. Storage altitude stretches to 3000 m. Overload and short-circuit protection at 3.8 A; inrush current 35 A. The removable screw terminal blocks accept 24 V DC supply.
Communication and programming
Two serial ports are built in: RS485 and RS232, each configurable from 1.2 to 115.2 kbit/s (default 115.2 kbit/s). A Mini-B USB 2.0 port provides direct PC connection for programming and commissioning. The M200 family uses Schneider's standard software environment, and the controller retains 512 bytes of internal flash for program backup.
