Product details

The TM5CAI8O8CL is a 16-point analog combination block in the Modicon TM5 family — 8 current inputs and 8 current outputs in a single DIN-rail module. The inputs accept 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA signals with 12-bit resolution; the outputs source 0–20 mA current. Two separate 4-channel groups share one sampling duration of 20 ms for the whole module (5 ms per channel). Power draw is 8 mA from the 5 V bus and 217 mA from the 24 V I/O supply; the module dissipates 5.25 W. Outputs are short-circuit protected, and the response time to a status change is ≤1 ms.

Mounts on DIN rail with removable spring-cage terminal. 16 I/O points, status LEDs: 4 power, 8 output, 8 input. No channel-to-channel isolation; only 500 Vrms bus isolation. Input filtering fixed at ≤50 ms.

Carries CSA C22.2 No 213, CSA C22.2 No 142, UL 508, and IEC 61131-2. Pollution degree 2, IP20 finger-safe. EMC per EN/IEC 61000-4-6 and CISPR 11 zone B class A.
