Overview
The TM5SBER2 is a Schneider Modicon TM5 remote receiver module that distributes power to the TM5 bus and I/O, enabling communication between remote I/O and a Modicon M258 or LMC058 controller. It draws 2.22 W from the bus, measures 12.7 mm wide by 76.2 mm deep by 99.06 mm high, and carries an IP67 rating for wet or dusty environments. Shock rated at 15 gn for 11 ms, it withstands mechanical stress on moving machinery.
Selection and integration
Compared to the TM5SPS2F power supply module, the TM5SBER2 lacks a 24 V supply input and a 0.025 A switching current rating, so it cannot power the bus independently; it relies on a separate power supply module upstream. The TM5SBER2's 0.025 A switching current suits signal-level switching, not power loads, consistent with its role as a remote receiver rather than a power distribution hub.
