Module identity and fit
The TM5SDI12DK is a 12-point sink-input module for the Modicon TM5 distributed I/O system, rated 24 V DC (20.4...28.8 V) and compliant with UL 508 and IEC 61131-2. It ships as a kit including the TM5ACTB12 terminal block and TM5ACBM11 bus base, so ordering one order code covers the mechanical and termination hardware.
Electrical and installation notes
Each input sinks 3.75 mA at nominal voltage; state 0 is guaranteed below 5 V, state 1 above 15 V. Input filtering is hardware-limited to 100 ms, which filters short transients but adds a fixed delay to the I/O scan. The module draws 36 mA from the 5 V backplane bus and 73 mA from the 24 V I/O supply. Power dissipation is 1.93 W — factor this into the cabinet thermal budget. Mounting is on a DIN rail; the 12.5 mm width and 75 mm depth fit standard TM5 spacing. Operating temperature range is 0 to 60 °C with derating, and IP20 protection suits enclosure use.
