The TM5SDI2D is a 2-channel discrete input module from the Modicon TM5 family, configured for sink logic. Input impedance is 6.4 kOhm; hardware input filtering is specified at ≤ 100 ms, which prevents nuisance triggering on fast transients but introduces a response delay that matters for high-speed counting applications. Sensor supply is rated up to 500 mA with a voltage drop below 2 V at that load – sufficient for powering two 2-wire proximity sensors directly from the module, reducing external power-supply routing.
