The Schneider Electric VW3A7260 is a line filter module (LFM) designed as a component of the Active Front End (AFE) system, paired specifically with the VW3A7250 active infeed converter. It filters line-side harmonics and provides the 24 V DC fan supply for the AIC and up to four inverters of the same power class. Rated for 120 kW at 380...480 V AC three-phase, it handles a continuous line current of 185 A at 50 °C. The module dissipates 290 W of thermal losses and relies on natural convection for cooling — no fan to fail, but you need clear air path around the enclosure. The 185 A rating at 50 °C is the current it can carry continuously without exceeding the thermal limit. For ambient temperatures above 45 °C, derate the current by 2 % per °C up to 60 °C; above that, the part is not rated for operation.
The module is a built-in unit (not a panel-mount or DIN-rail clip) with dimensions 680 mm high, 240 mm wide, and 379 mm deep. That 379 mm depth is the critical dimension for cabinet depth — ensure the enclosure door clears the busbar and cable connections on the front face. Electrical connections are via M10 bars for the power terminals (1L1, 1L2, 1L3 and PE) requiring 24 N·m torque, plus a terminal block for the control/fan supply (X1:1...X1:6, 2.5 mm², 0.6...0.8 N·m). The IP00 rating means no ingress protection — install in a clean, dry cabinet only. Altitude derating applies above 1000 m: reduce current by 1 % per 100 m up to 3000 m. Pollution degree 2 per EN/IEC 61800-5-1 is standard for industrial control panels with non-conductive pollution.
