The SICK WTB2S-2P3160 is a photoelectric proximity sensor from the W2S-2 family, using background suppression to detect objects within a 1 mm to 66 mm range regardless of color or reflectivity. It switches on light reception (Light-ON) and outputs a PNP signal at up to 50 mA, with a response time of 500 µs. The visible red pinpoint LED makes alignment straightforward during commissioning — you see the spot on the target.
The 66 mm sensing distance with background suppression means this sensor ignores background objects beyond that point — useful on conveyors where product passes in front of a fixed backstop.
