SIRIUS auxiliary contactor for control-circuit switching
It carries a rated operating current of 10 A at 24 V under AC-12 duty, which covers resistive and solid-state loads typical in PLC and relay logic interfaces.
The AC-12 rating at 24 V (10 A) is the headline figure — it tells you the contactor can handle the inrush of a small contactor coil or a bank of indicator lamps without welding its contacts. For higher voltages the current drops: 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 1 A at 690 V, so the real-world ampacity depends on your control voltage. The contact configuration is 3 NO instantaneous contacts (no delayed, lagging, or make-before-break options). Solid wire capacity is 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²), adequate for standard control wiring.
Size S00 is the smallest Siemens contactor frame — 45 mm wide, 60 mm tall, 73 mm deep. It snaps onto the same DIN rail as the main contactor (e.g., 3RT10 series) and shares the same side-by-side zero-clearance spacing: no gap needed at the side for cooling. The auxiliary contactor is typically mounted directly alongside or below the main contactor to provide feedback to the PLC or to extend the contact count for multi-signal circuits.
