This is the variant without an auxiliary switch block, so plan for a separate 3RT19 series auxiliary contactor if you need N/O or N/C feedback to the PLC. The coil holds at 24 VDC nominal; the rated holding current at 24 V is 6 A, with dropout below the 0.8 x Uc threshold. Switching frequency is rated at 1 000 operating cycles per hour under AC-1, AC-2, AC-3, and AC-3e duty, dropping to 300 cycles per hour under AC-4 — that's the heavy inching or plugging duty limit to watch if your motor control involves frequent reversing or jogging.
The S0 footprint is 45 mm wide, 102 mm tall, and 154 mm deep — that's a standard slot in most Siemens S0-compatible motor starter assemblies.
For the auxiliary circuit, the terminal accepts 2 x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded. No wire ferrules required — spring-cage clamps hold stripped solid or ferruled stranded wire securely. Strip length is standard for the terminal design; no special tooling beyond a screwdriver for the release slot.
Switching capacity and contact configuration
Main contacts are configured as 18...8 — that's 3 N/O main poles (the standard 3-pole configuration for three-phase motor switching). DC switching ratings: 6 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V. At 400 V AC, the rated operational current is 3 A.
