Mechanical and Electrical Endurance
Rated for 10,000,000 mechanical operations typical, this contactor handles high-cycle applications. The maximum switching frequency varies by duty: 1,000 cycles/h in AC-1 resistive loads, 750 cycles/h in AC-2 or AC-3 motor-starting duty, and 250 cycles/h in AC-4 plugging/reversing duty. The AC-3e rating matches the 750 cycles/h limit, so it sustains standard motor switching without derating the cycle rate.
Panel integration is straightforward: the 45 mm width occupies one standard DIN-rail module.
Main contacts accept solid or stranded conductors from 1 to 10 mm² (one conductor) or 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) for auxiliary contacts. The main-contact wire range also covers 1.5 to 16 mm², accommodating larger feeds for motor circuits.
Auxiliary Switching Ratings
The integrated auxiliary switch is rated for DC switching: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.6 A at 440 V. At 230 V AC the contactor is rated for 5 hp motor load. These ratings define the pilot-duty and control-circuit limits, not the main pole current.
