The contactor is rated for 40 A at 480 V and 41 A at 600 V, with a 7.5 hp rating at 230 V.
The 40 A at 480 V and 41 A at 600 V ratings define the continuous current-carrying capacity in AC-1 duty (resistive loads). For motor switching (AC-3), the actual making/breaking current will be lower — the AC-4 maximum switching rate of 300 operations per hour gives a duty-cycle ceiling for frequent inching or plugging. The 24 V DC coil draws a 3 A inrush peak, then holds at a lower sealed current; the operating time is 30 to 55 ms DC, with an arcing time of 10 to 20 ms. The auxiliary switch is included, which simplifies panel wiring for status feedback or interlocking.
The spring-type terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. Dimensions: 114 mm height, 55 mm width, 178 mm depth — fits standard S2 contactor footprint.
