The SENTRON 3VA1040-2ED32-0AH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection, fitted with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release and rated 40 A continuous at 40 °C ambient. The interrupting capacity reaches 52.5 kA at 240 V AC and 32 kA at 415 V AC — figures that govern the available fault current the breaker can clear without damage to itself or downstream gear. That 52.5 kA at 240 V is the headline number for North American panels; the 32 kA at 415 V is the one that matters in 400 V-class European distribution. The TM210 release combines a thermal bimetal for overload protection and a magnetic coil for short-circuit response.
The breaker measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide (3 in), and 70 mm deep. Depth of 70 mm means it clears most standard enclosure back-panels without a sub-panel extension.
Above that, the continuous current derates: 38.4 A at 55 °C, 37.6 A at 60 °C, 36.8 A at 65 °C, and 36 A at 70 °C.
