Breaking capacity varies by system voltage: 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — so at 415 V it comfortably clears a 32 kA prospective fault, which covers most industrial low-voltage distribution panels.
Thermal derating and operating conditions
Above that it derates linearly: 48 A at 55 °C, 47 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C — so in a hot panel near the top of a cabinet, expect to lose about 10 % of the rating. The IP40 front protection means it's splash-proof from the front but not sealed — mount it in a cabinet, not outdoors.
Dimensions are 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for DIN-rail or screw-mount panels. The 76.2 mm width is 3 module spaces (1 module = 25.4 mm) on a DIN rail, so it occupies three 18 mm slots in a typical distribution board.
