Breaking capacity and selectivity
The 3VA1132-6EF32-0DH0: This MCCB delivers 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. Those are the interrupting ratings across the voltage range — the 220 kA figure at 240 V covers high-fault utility feeds; the 17 kA at 690 V still clears most industrial motor-circuit faults. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) gives headroom for 480/600 V panels without derating the bus.
Thermal derating and panel temperature
Rated 32 A from 40 °C up to 50 °C. Above that it derates linearly: 30.72 A at 55 °C, 30.08 A at 60 °C, 29.44 A at 65 °C, and 28.8 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs 55 °C, you lose about 1.3 A — plan the load accordingly. The TM240 release is fixed thermal-magnetic, not electronic, so the trip curve is set at the factory.
Auxiliary and release configuration
Factory-fitted with an undervoltage release (UVR) and a 2 auxiliary switch + 1 trip alarm switch (HQ) contact block. The UVR drops the breaker on voltage loss — standard for safety disconnects on conveyor or pump feeds. The trip alarm switch gives a separate signal for remote fault annunciation. The integrated auxiliary trip order code is 3VA9608-0BB25 if you need a replacement module.
Physical fit and mounting
Measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide (3-module), 70 mm deep. Front IP40 — fine for enclosed panel mounting; not rated for washdown. The 3-pole footprint matches standard SENTRON 3VA panel cutouts and busbar systems. Latching endurance is 15,000 cycles — adequate for a feeder breaker that sees infrequent switching.
