The Siemens 3VA1463-6GF42-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 630 A continuous at 40 °C, with full current capability maintained up to 50 °C before derating begins at 55 °C (618 A) and 60 °C (607 A). This makes it a fit for main incoming feeders or large distribution panels where ambient temperature inside the enclosure runs warm. The 4-pole construction with 100% N-conductor protection means it handles full neutral current without derating — important for panels feeding nonlinear loads or where the neutral carries harmonic content. Breaking capacity is specified across five voltage levels: 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. At typical 400 V-class industrial distribution voltages, the 154 kA SCCR provides headroom for high-fault installations without cascading upstream — a common requirement when the transformer is close to the main switchboard.
